“The Machine is Us/ing us”

This clip was a little confusing to follow at first. But within the frist two minutes I was able to catch on and realize the messages and ideas that it was potraying. I thought that this was really interesting to watch and to see how messages were brought out in the video. It was interesting to see the different things that the internet and the computer have to offer. I didn’t realize the amount of things that one can do on the internet and how vital the internet is for communication between people. After watching that a few times, I learned that the computer has brought people, communities, and organizations together in more ways than just blogging or Iming.

My Favorite food

I know this is really random, but I was really hungry and was thinking about sushi!! Sushi is like my favorite food ever!!! At school my roommates and pledge sisiters usually always go to Samurai because they accept the Boro bucks. It like a weekly tradition and its a fun time to spend together with all my friends. Its sad actually because we all get the same roll every single time; it’s my favorite!!! Inside the roll has spicy tuna, cucumbers, and shrimp tempura and its wrapped in soy paper. I highy recommend it!

Writing Spaces

There are many writing spaces that we use on an everyday basis. For me I most commonly use the computer, my notebooks, and index cards. My computer is where I mainly work. This device is a time saver when writing multiple page papers and when researching and putting together a research paper. Also, mostly all of my professors only accept typed papers so it is essential for me to use my laptop. However, when I’m not in class, I’m writing in my notebooks. I have a notebook for each of my classes to keep myself organized and focused. When I use my notebook, I use it to take notes and to write anything important down that is discussed in class. This can range from when assignments are due, requirements for assignments, or important information that I should know. Lastly, I use index cards when studying for and exam or for when I am writing a research paper with many sources. This method also keeps me organized and focused.

Although all three writing spaces are useful, there are can be many defects in their use. For example, using a computer to type papers is less time consuming, assuming that you type faster than you write. Also, it looks more professional to type documents and papers than to have it hand-written. Computers are an easier more accessible way to gather information and type a presentable paper. However, when computers crash and everything you worked hard on is lost, paper is a better way to preserve ones work. The work is honest and authentic because it is in the handwriting of the writer. And it is also concrete proof, of the context and material that is included in the document. Everything has its ups and downs, but I order to ensure security, you should use multiple ways to store and document writings.
